I think everyone who possibly can ought to see the Holocaust Memorial Museum at least once. It's not a "fun" tour, but I think it's an important one. How anyone can deny the reality or the extent of the holocaust is truly outside the realm of my understanding.

Just stopping by to say "hi" and checking up on you!
I've been to the one in DC and the one in Israel and I agree, it's very important.
I have been to DC once, in 1995. I went to the Holocaust museum much to the protest of my ex husband (it was on our honeymoon). I have always felt a draw to the plight of the victims of the Holocaust. It was a very difficult place to visit, but I would like to go again someday.
I went just last year and was so moved by the display of shoes and the endless hallway of photographs. I saved the name of the person from the tour as well. I can't even describe the experience. I don't know if the children's display was one you visited, but I left shaking.
