I hear it's normal, but still...

A few days before each appointment I begin to feel anxious about the status of the baby.

After each appointment I feel relieved and confident not only that everything IS fine, but that it will continue to be so.

I really wish I didn't feel the first one.

I've felt plenty of pains that I've chalked up to ligament pains/uterine growth, etc. I felt my first severe, sharp, OMG, ligament pain from a sneeze yesterday. I yelled out loud and scared a kitty.

I ALWAYS did that - started to worry about the baby right before the appointment. Hang in there!!

I don't think I remember reading about it, so I don't know if you're feeling movement yet, but that helps a lot. You'll be feeling that really soon if you're not already.

Ahh, but then you get to worry if you felt as much today as yesterday, etc. I don't think the worry ever completely goes away.

totally normal. The one thing I'm grateful for with regard to having a triplet pregnancy is that I'm at the doctor's office every freaking week (occasionally I get to be there every TWO weeks), so I don't have much time to build up any anxiety. Plus, any time I feel any weirdness, they let me come right in.

And the round ligament pain? SUCKS MIGHTILY.

I felt this same anxiety regularly until I started feeling regular movement. It was a very clear pattern - we would have an appointment, and I would be on a high - very secure and confident for about a week. and then the doubts would creep back in. That anxiety seems to have mostly gone away now that I feel regular movement - so hopefully yours will go away soon too!

Well, as you know, I'm not pregnant. However, a very close friend of mine is pregnant with her first after a miscarriage. She does the EXACT same thing, it's cyclical before each appointment. I think that makes you...wait for it...normal! Congratulations!!!

Also, Roper and Furley (our cats) forgive you on behalf of all felines you may have frightened.
