My clinic stops progesterone supplementation around week 8 for IUI and closer to week 10 for IVF. But there are lots of different protocols. There are some clinics that keep using progesterone supplemnentation well into the second trimester, but as far as I know, the scientific community is still out on whether there's any benefit to that.

Either way, I'm glad you're still doing well.Ms. Perkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06923832430040384294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17064937.post-64571530061473304412007-04-07T20:10:00.000-04:002007-04-07T20:10:00.000-04:00i stayed on my progesterone for 12 weeks. i rememb...i stayed on my progesterone for 12 weeks. i remember the dr saying i could stop earlier, but i don't think it was as early as 8 weeks. of course i specifically had a progesterone problem... still, i think if i were you i wouldn't stop just yet, either. it's not like there's any risk in continuing. the other option is to switch to an oral like prometrium, if the OB will give it to you. (i did suppositories for 2 weeks, then prometrium the rest of the time.)Cat, Gallopinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04867271192971274545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17064937.post-39971636606575500772007-04-07T19:20:00.000-04:002007-04-07T19:20:00.000-04:00Junkie.:)*shrug*I say do what makes ya feel right....Junkie.

:)

*shrug*

I say do what makes ya feel right. But also? Take into consideration what the good docs say.
